SEVERN SAILBOATS are proud to announce
something new in British Moth production.
The lines are by Phil Morrison, deck design and construction by Graham,
with fine quality veneered panels and joinery supplied by Jeremy Higson.
The culmination of these elements has produced a pretty and innovative boat which we are confident will be a winner.
The deck layout is; long foredeck, but the bulkhead in the front of the cockpit is open for storage and access to the
centreboard bolt and under deck controls. The front of the boat is framed with cedar and ply to brace mast forces,
whilst the rolled side decks stiffen the whole structure and offer comfortable sitting out both in fully hiked and marginal modes.
The width and angle has been designed from experience to permit a dry boat after capsize.
The short rear deck ties the whole structure and the floor is reinforced to stiffen at high speed. The cockpit floor
is stiffened with battens and the main stress areas are reinforced in addition to epoxy fillets.
The hull is Robbin Gaboon 5ply epoxy coated and the veneered and vac bagged side decks are all marine gluing with
surfaces epoxied and two packed. The joinery detailing allows for all fitting to be laced on with Vectran or Dyneema
to compliment modern fittings, we favour a section of RWO, Allen and Ronstan fittings.
Available as bare shell or fully equipped. Prices from £1,165.00 - £4,745.00 (no VAT)
Prices vary according to spec. Veneer and spray finish are optional extras.
